True freedom
Some of us believe that the key to happiness is figuring out how to fix everything that is wrong with us. If you fixed yourself, then you could enjoy life and be that free person that you've always envisioned yourself to be. Little did you know that the key to this freedom isn't fixing yourself at all, but rather gaining awareness behind your thoughts, reactions and beliefs. Today, begin to become aware that you nor your life needs to be fixed, changed, or controlled in order to experience peace now or in the future. Your outer reality is a direct reflection of your thoughts, and as they stayed rooted in negativity, so will your world. True freedom doesn’t come in the future, from a situation, or “from” anything at all, but is within you right now. Today, set your intentions to bring awareness to thoughts behind your reactions to the people, places and things in your life. And, stop taking things so personally. Be kind, compassionate and gentle with yourself! Stop "shoulding" on yourself and forgive. Forgiveness puts you back into the present—the only time that truly exists—where you have the power to live free and happy. Today, shift your thoughts and you will feel freer, lighter, and happier- instantly!
Just for today, I know that when I create peace in my mind and my heart, I will find it in my life. I recognize that when I focus on what I do not want, that is exactly what I will get more of. I do not fix my problems. I fix my thinking and my problems fix themselves. I forgive everyone for all past perceived wrongs. I release them with love. I am now free and they are now free to move forward with love in my heart. Out of this situation only good will come. And so it is.
