This too shall pass

“However long the night, the dawn will break.” It seems as if we are all walking around feeling helpless, fearful and wondering what comes next. All that wondering, worrying and creating imaginary scenarios are making our lives harder and much more terrifying than they currently need to be. Today, set your intentions to remember throughout the entire day that this too shall pass-use it as your mantra. Today, instead of focusing on the illusions that you have created out of your fear, consciously distract yourself by actively engaging in other areas of your life-clean your house, take a walk or set some new goals during this time of quarantines. Today, instead of focusing on how terrified you are of the unknown or what will happen, remember how you overcame similar challenges and obstacles in your past. When faced with much unknown, most of us forget that we have overcome similar struggles in the past. Today think about your victories in the past instead of creating monsters and worst case scenarios that may never exist in your future. And finally, remember all the good things in your life that still exists. Do not let the darkness blind you from seeing the stars. It is human nature to get caught up with the things that we have no control over and look somewhat bleak. However, there is so much good that still exists in our lives, if we choose to focus on it. So today, be grateful for the good that still exists in your life. It has been said that a grateful heart is a magnet for abundance and miracles. No matter how terrible life may seem today and for the foreseeable future, there are always good things if we keep our eyes open for them. Today, you have the power to see the good, to learn the lessons and to cherish this day for it is the only one we are ever promised. Today, be the master of your mind; choose to be grateful and know that this too shall pass.

Just for today, I recognize that I am not a victim of my thoughts but rather a master of my mind. I awaken appreciating everything good in sight and I give thanks for them all. I do not fix my problems. I fix my thinking and my problems fix themselves. I move through Life knowing that I am always divinely guided, protected and loved. All is truly well in my world. And so it is.
