Let go...

Life is truly a series of letting go so that we can bring new knowledge, new people and new ideas into our lives. However, as humans we can become attached to almost anything-people, places, things, and beliefs. It is those attachments, as Buddha said, that are at the core of all of our struggles, frustrations, anxiety, anger, sadness, grief and worry. Our struggles come from being too tightly attached to something. When we’re worried, we are tightly attached to how we want things to be, rather than relaxing into accepting whatever might happen when we put forth our best effort. When we’re frustrated with someone, it’s because we’re attached to how we want them to be, rather than accepting them as the wonderful flawed human they are. Yet, letting go is not as easy as it sounds and takes as much energy as you have spent being attached. Today, make some time to connect inward, begin to view your conflicts through eyes of compassion. Begin to accept what is right in front of you in this present moment. At the heart most attachment is you not wanting things to be the way they are. You want something different. Today, begin to expect the unexpected; let go of the people places, things and beliefs that no longer serve. And, just observe and accept what happens with love.

Just for today, I am willing to let go. I let go of all the no longer serves me to make room in my life for new things to take their place. I let go of all fear and doubt and Life becomes simple and easy for me. And so it is.
