Worrying is wasting your time
Worry pretends to be necessary but serves no purpose. Some of us are addicted to worrying and feel like we are not alive or in control unless we are worrying. However, in reality there is no need to worry incessantly, for you can’t control the future, or what others think for that matter. Remember, most of the time people are self-absorbed, going through their own things, not even aware of how their actions and reactions may have come across to you. Worrying doesn’t accomplish anything; it only takes away today’s peace. Every time you worry and choose to use the present to stress about the future, you are choosing to sacrifice joy today to mourn joy you might not have tomorrow. Today, during this holiday season, consciously give yourself a gift and stop yourself from worrying. Have faith that everything will work out for the best. After all, you have found a way to survive your ‘bad’ choices and all your mistakes so far. There is nothing wrong with planning for the future, but in the end you can’t control it. So, today allow yourself to embrace the unknown, go with the flow, and see what unfolds in your life. Today, stay present, be grateful and know that Life is a gift and it will end. Don't waste it by worrying.
Just for today, I release all negative thoughts of the past and all worries about the future. I let go of all worry and I trust that everything will always work out for my highest good. I know that only good awaits me at every turn. I observe with joy as Life abundantly supports and cares for me. I am safe all is truly well in my world. And so it is.
