Resentments
Life is short. Time spent feeling angry or resentful about things that happened or didn’t happen is time squandered. And, resentment is like a cancer that eats away at you a little bit at a time—time which could have been filled with love and joy. Today, consciously let go of all the resentments that you have been holding onto and in reality have been holding YOU back. Today instead of ruminating about how someone has done you wrong, send that person love. By sending only love toward someone, praying that they receive all the wonderful things you want for yourself in life, you’re slowly chiseling away at negative emotions that do you more harm than good-that only hurt you and never do anything to the person that you are holding resentments towards. Today, be grateful for all the lessons that that person has given you. A heart that is full of gratitude has little room for resentment Today, consciously let go of your resentments. Transform your bitterness into sweetness. Dig deep, not to find fault in others, but to find the gifts within your soul; therein lies the gift of your pain and the beauty in all that you have suffered. As it has been said, resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die.
Just for today, I choose to release all hurt and resentment. I forgive everyone for all perceived wrongs. I recognize that every experience I have is perfect for my self growth and every experience has shaped me into who I am now, the person who I am supposed to be in this moment. I am willing to see how and where I need to change. I am safe, divinely guided and protected. Everything is working out for my highest good and so it is.
