Metamorphosis

You may still feeling the effects of the Scorpio Super moon, which stirred up a bunch of emotions. Perhaps you're feeling moody, having weird dreams or just plain sad. Today, do not try to push yourself to make things happen. Do not ignore how you feel and force change to happen. Today, instead rest your heart and your mind and let the emotions pass through you. You and I are transforming into new beings and that metamorphosis can feel uncomfortable and at times unbearable. Yet the journey is profound. Today, rest and know that no matter how much you having been suffering and struggling, you in truth are becoming a better version of yourself. As it has been said, if there is no struggle, there is no progress.

Just for today, I willingly release the need to struggle and suffer. I deserve all that is good in Life. I am a capable person. I can handle anything that comes my way. I have the strength to remain calm in the face of change. I am safe. It is only change and everything is always working out for my highest good. And so it is

Look within

We live in a time of information overload-constantly being bombarded with information from a myriad of sources. Whether it be constant scrolling through social media or binging on endless streaming videos, we are constantly being distracted from what is really going on in our lives, inside of ourselves. And, we keep coming back to those distractions, ironically looking for connection and external gratification. And, this constant outward search for approval is often the reason why we don’t look for an internal source of approval. It becomes a habit to keep checking on social media, as a way to receive validation of who we are. In some way we are actually asking others to define who we are, and become unable to see the reality for ourselves. If they tell us we are doing the right thing, by liking our posts or by texting us approving words then we must be; otherwise, we are not that sure. The result of this constant checking in with technology is we have no time left to reflect or ponder. If, on occasion, we do look inward, we feel a sense of emptiness and fear. Not knowing what to do with it, we try to fill that emptiness with some external source of gratification. However, that emptiness is important. It is telling us that we are disconnected from who we are. This disconnect is one of the main reasons why we end up in painful life situations. Today, set your intentions to become aware of how you use external sources to gain the peace, safety, security and identity that you have become uncertain of. Today, instead of being distracted and entertained, spend time disconnected so that you can reconnect with yourself. When we are connected inward, our instincts become stronger, and we understand what is right and wrong for us. We can make big decisions easily, and have no regrets later. A strong connection with ourselves is sometimes all we need, and in some cases, all we have, to keep us sane in this insane world.

Just for today, I look within to find my treasures. It is safe for me to look within. I allow myself to be quiet and still, and I am amazed at what I discover, Life is just waiting to share its secrets with me. I know that everything I seek is already within me. I am safe. This is only change and out of this situation only good will come. And so it is.

Full Moon in Scorpio

We have an intense Full Moon in Scorpio tonight. A Full Moon occurs when the Moon is in exact opposition to the Sun. In astrology the Moon represents your inner world and the sun is your outer world. During the light of this Full Moon we are intended to bring those opposing aspects of our being into alignment. And, the energies of this Full Moon are also designed to conjure up your shadow and bring hidden emotions to light. So, during this Full Moon you can expect whatever has been bubbling and brewing in the background to be brought to the light. You are going to come to recognize where you need to let go of control. And, some of us will allow ourselves to be much more vulnerable than we’d expect ourselves to be, and a lot of us will learn to accept that letting go is how we grow up. Also, this Full Moon will draw our attention to all the things that we have been putting off and all the things the Universe would like us to focus on. So, today and tonight, set your intentions to embrace and accept those aspects of yourself that previously frightened or dismayed you. Remember, it's okay not to be perfect. In fact, for you to be loved for who you are, it's necessary to reveal your authentic self. Today it is time to reclaim your sovereignty and let go of your need to please everyone else. It is time to let go of who you were, to people, places and things that may feel familiar but serve no purpose in your life. Today, leave who you were; love who you are and look forward to who you will become.

Just for today, I am willing to let go. I am willing to release the need to be unworthy. I am worthy of the very best in Life and I now lovingly allow myself to accept it. I accept all parts of myself. I recognize that healing means to make whole and accept all parts of myself, not just the ones I like. I release all negative thoughts of the past and all worries of the future. I let go of everything and everyone that no longer serves any purpose in my life. Life supports me in every possible way and everything is always working out for my highest good.

Are your feeling moody?

Today Mars, a fiery planet, moves into the watery sign of Cancer, causing us to feel moody and out of sorts. And the truth is that we all get in bad moods, no matter how positive we try to be and no matter what caused us to feel "bad". Whatever the case may be, you just might be feeling something you don’t want to feel and perhaps, you’re not sure how to change it. So, today, no matter how irritated you are feeling, recognize that in reality you don’t have to act on everything you feel. In fact, you would be better served to stop yourself from reacting in a way that you may regret later. Today, recognize that the best way to change how you feel is to change how you think about what’s bothering you. Instead of dwelling on what went wrong, identify what you learned and what you can do with that knowledge to make your next moments better. Today, instead of dwelling on everything that’s out of your hands, such as other people's behaviors, focus on things you can actually control; and choose to stop nurturing your hurt and irritability; And finally be willing to let it go; be willing to take responsibility and stop blaming other people for how you feel. Today acknowledge that you get to choose whether you cling to pain or let it go. You can’t avoid feelings, but you don’t have to exacerbate them with negative thoughts. Today, remember that every day may not be good, but there’s something good in every day.

Just for today, it does not matter what other people say or do. What does matter is how I choose to react and what I choose to believe about myself. I know that if I dwell on what I do not want, that is exactly what I will get more of. I focus on loving myself and trusting in the Universe. I do not fix my problems. I fix my thinking and my problems fix themselves. I am safe. It is only change and out of this situation only good will come. And so it is.

Safety and security

As we begin our re-entry into our new normal, things can feel frightening and you may find yourself filled with uncertainty, fear and anxiety. And because we are under the energy of Taurus that craves safety and security, you just might be looking for safety and security in all the wrong places. For you see, your need for physical security is actually an outward manifestation of your inner fear of uncertainty. However, when you allow yourself to stop hiding, trying to create and to find safety and security, you can face your fears and anxiety head on. And when you face your fears head on, you will come out lighter and less fearfully attached. Today, if you’re feeling muddled by uncertainty and fear, allow yourself to stop over thinking everything. Instead of over thinking everything, consciously remain present with patience and know that with time everything heals and everything will be revealed to you. Today instead of feeding your fears practice acceptance. Shifting to an acceptance mindset allows you to show-up, wholly, with your attention grounded in the present, you are able to hear your intuition and find the answers that you are looking for. Finally, let go of your need to control everything. Today, loosen your grip on your life and practice letting go and just being with uncertainty. It too shall pass. Today recognize that each time you stay present with fear and uncertainty, you’re letting go of a habitual way of finding security and comfort. Today create a new habit of using your fear to propel you forward instead of keeping you stuck and mire in fear. You are stronger and wiser than you think!

Just for today, I am safe. It is only change. I cross all bridges with joy and ease. The old unfolds into new wonderful experiences. My life gets better all the time. I feel safe in the rhythm and flow of my ever changing life. All is truly well in my world. And so it is.

Earth Day-take loving care of this planet

Happy Earth Day! Although most of the time I write about the other planets that are impacting us, today it is time to focus on the very planet we all inhabit, planet Earth and to remember the gifts that Earth provides to all life. It is a day to set our intentions to protect, conserve, and care for the very planet with live on. And, it is a day is to honor our home planet and all the gifts that it gives to us every day, even if we are distracted by ego and fear. Today, take some time to look outside yourself to see how truly blessed we all are to live on this magnificent planet. Be grateful for all its gifts and commit to making one small change that will help to heal this planet, which we collectively have been destroying for many years. Today, consciously become a part of the solution to heal this Earth and appreciate the beautiful world you live in!

Just for today, I recognize that we are all family and this planet is our home. Every person, place and thing are interconnected by love. I am at home in the Universe. No matter where I am on this planet I am always safe and everything is always working out for my highest good. And so it is.

Self Care

There are many things to be anxious and stressed out about these days. We work too much; we don’t take enough time off; we’re constantly plugged in and “on” yet are more disconnected than ever before; many of us struggle financially; and none of us know what comes next with the pandemic. We truly face many challenges and struggles every day. So how do we help ourselves weather the storms of our lives? How do we handle daily ups and downs without getting swept up by emotions and reactions? The answer which you probably already know is self care! Today, consciously stop, and begin to practice daily self care. Self-care is an active and conscious choice to engage in activities that nourish you and help you to maintain an optimal level of overall health. It basically means making healthy lifestyle choices and implementing stress management strategies. It also means maintaining healthy boundaries, saying no to what does not feel right; playing more; enjoying more time outside; being creative and doing anything that brings you joy. The beautiful thing is that you are in charge and you get to choose. You and only you know what’s most nourishing for you right now, and what you need to be doing to feel healthy and balanced. You get to decide how to nurture and care for yourself best! Today, stop putting off self-care for later. Later will never come. You and I have to make time now for what’s important, and self-care needs to be your priority. You are worth it!

Just for today, nourishing and taking care of myself is a joyful experience. I am worth the time I spend on healing myself. I am a master at setting healthy boundaries that protect my time, energy, creativity and well being. I say no when I mean no and yes when I mean yes. I know that I want and need and do not have to apologize for it. I am in the process of making positive changes in every area of my life. I am safe, divinely guided and protect. And, all is truly well in my world. And so it is.

Value yourself

Taurus season is here! And it is time to re-examine how you value yourself and how that has taught the world how to treat and value you. If you don’t like and love yourself, you don’t value yourself, so you’ll have low standards for how you let people treat you. The simple truth is we don’t protect and take care of what we don’t hold in high regard. So, the way you treat yourself and how you let others treat you shows you how much or little you really value yourself. So, today consciously notice the standards you set. Notice what you tolerate from others. This will tell you whether or not you value yourself if you are unsure. If you want to learn how to treat yourself better, think about how you treat something or someone you value and truly appreciate. Then begin to set healthy standards for how you treat yourself and what behaviors you accept from others. Today, recognize that the relationship you have with yourself sets the tone for all the other relationships you have in your life. The good thing is that you are in charge of that now. You have the power and you get to choose how you treat yourself. Today “yes” to love—say “yes” to self-love, say "yes" to valuing yourself because it will change everything.

Just for today, my self esteem is high because I honor who I am. I love and accept myself exactly as I am. I draw love and acceptance into my life and I allow myself to accept them now. I have the self esteem, confidence and courage to move forward with ease. I am safe and everything is always working out for my highest good. And so it is

Lying

We are entering Taurus season and it will teach you and I how to value ourselves and our needs, more. It can teach you to be authentically you so you can attract new opportunities that are more closely aligned to who you are today. And, it can expose and reveal who you and others truly are. During this Taurus season, you will no longer find it easy to lie to yourself or to the world around you about who you truly are. And although most often we relate lying with words, lying, doesn't always have to been done through words. You can lie with your actions. You can lie with your silence. You can lie with your complicity. You can lie by pretending to be who you are not. In fact, you can lie about who you really are. And, when you choose to deny who you truly are, you are lying. Lying is a choice, one that deeply harms ourselves and often times, those around us. And even though it is a choice, it’s one that is very easy to hide from. In our search for love many of us will do almost anything to attain that goal even if it means denying ourselves the truth. In contrast, sharing ourselves allows us to know love. Love makes us feel safe and wanted. It makes us feel connected and like we belong. And that in truth is all most of us are always seeking. So today, consciously stop lying and begin to share who you truly are with the rest of the world. It may feel vulnerable to be more of yourself but expressing your truth will align you with your purpose. So, today take off the mask and know that lies may make people feel better, but they do not help them to know love.

Just for today, I love myself exactly as I am. I do not wait to be perfect in order to love myself. I forgive myself for all my past perceived mistakes and bad choices. I am always doing the best I can with the knowledge understanding and awareness that I have. I trust my intuition and I am willing to listen and to follow its guidance. I am safe and out of this situation only good will come. And so it is.

It is time to let it all go!

If there’s one thing we all have in common, it’s that we want to feel happy; and on the other side of that coin, we want to avoid hurting. Yet, despite our wanting to avoid hurting, we consistently put ourselves in situations that set us up for pain. We pin our happiness to people, circumstances, jobs, things and hold onto them for dear life. We stress about the possibility of losing them when something seems amiss. Then we melt into grief when something changes—a lay off, a breakup, or a disappointing outcome.

We attach to feelings as if they define us, and ironically, not just positive ones. However, in trying to hold on to what’s familiar, we limit our ability to experience joy in the present. A moment can’t possibly radiate fully when you’re suffocating it in fear. Today, allow the present moment to be enough and let go of everything that you have given your power over to, that you have chosen to make you happy or unhappy. When you stop trying to grasp, own, and control the world around you, you give it the freedom to fulfill you without the power to destroy you. That’s why letting go is so important— letting go is letting happiness in. Today, let go of how you think your life "should" be and just be grateful for how it is now. Experience, appreciate, enjoy, and let go to welcome another experience. It is not always easy but know you have the power to choose from moment to moment how you experience things you enjoy: with a sense of ownership, anxiety, and fear, or with a sense of freedom, peace, and love. Today, consciously choose to let go.

Just for today, I am willing to let go. I let go of my human ego and embrace the divinity within me. I now free myself from all destructive fears and doubts. I trust the power that created me to protect me, guide me and love me at all times and under all circumstances. I remind myself frequently that everything is always working out for my highest good. And so it is.

Stop wasting your time worrying!

The biggest waste of time in all of our lives is worrying. Time spent worrying, is time spent not living. Worrying by its very nature takes us out of the present moment and into the past, ruminating over what has already happened or into the future, projecting what might possibly come to pass. Worry keeps us trapped in our heads and keeps us from truly enjoying life, as it’s unfolding. Although some amount of planning and looking ahead is always necessary, the act of worrying is always optional. Today, recognize that worry is a total waste of time. It doesn’t change anything. All is does it steal your joy and keep you very busy doing nothing. Today, you can choose to stop wasting your time worrying. In fact, you can choose to be in the moment and trust in the one that follows it. You can’t always control what tomorrow or your future will look like, but you can know that more often than not, it will lead to something good if you are truly open to what the uncertainty of the future can bring you. And, when it doesn’t, know that you will get through it—and faster if you haven’t already overwhelmed yourself with what-ifs and worst-case scenarios. Today, know that on the other side of worry, there’s trust. You can't always trust in specifics, but you can trust in yourself and you can trust in Life. Today, choose to consciously stop worrying and just trust.

Just for today, I release all negative thoughts about the past and all worries about the future. I realize that stress is only fear. I now release all fear. I trust the power that created me to protect me, guide me and love me at all times and under all circumstances. I am safe and everything is always working out for my highest good. And so it is.

Venus in Taurus

Today Venus, the planet of love, moves into Taurus, the planet of pleasure, bringing us more grounded energies, patience and some inner peace. So, if you have been feeling out of sorts or just plain unsettled or unfocused, the energies of the Universe brought to us by the movement of those planets can help you finally feel like you are back in some sort of "normalcy" and routine. Today, use this energy to help you feel grounded and give you the patience and insight to know that you are safe so you can begin to build on your new normal. Enjoy these energies and set your intentions to be at peace with the process of your life. Just for today, I recognize that patience is being at peace with the process of Life. I will not be distracted by noise, chatter, or setbacks. I will allow patience, commitment, grace and purpose to guide me. I am patient, tolerant and diplomatic. I can do anything when I put my heart and mind to it. I am safe and everything is working out for my highest good. And so it is.

Self Sabotage

Many of us are contemplating or actually beginning something "new". Whether it is a new job, new relationships, new hobbies or an entire new way of being, most of us will encounter some sort of fear response, such as self sabotage or procrastination, as we encounter or consider the new. However, self-sabotage and procrastination aren't necessarily a "bad" thing and can actually be survival mechanisms. For you see, they are meeting some type of need inside ourselves, and it happens to all of us to a certain degree. And, every behavior we have serves us in one way or another. And, we self-sabotage and procrastinate for many reasons, and it’s different for everybody; most often it’s coming from a part of us that just wants to feel safe. The key is to work with these parts, not against them, and not trying to get rid of them. When we work with them and integrate them, we experience more energy, and they become a source of great strength and wisdom. Today, take some time to see where you just might be self sabotaging or procrastinating on your current progress. Today recognize that your self sabotaging behaviors are a cry out from you inner child that does not feel safe and cannot be ignored or rationalized away by your mind. Today make those behaviors your friends for they will show you where you are in need of healing. When you see your symptoms as catalysts to understanding yourself better, you have the opportunity to integrate healing lessons. By allowing yourself to give yourself the safety that you seek, you will be able to heal and overcome self-sabotage. Today acknowledge that all parts of yourself are valuable and need to be heard, seen, loved, and accepted unconditionally. Each part has an important message for you. So today be kind and gentle with yourself. Instead of feeling down on yourself for sabotaging yourself, dig below the surface to understand what you’re really afraid of and how your behavior may feel like safety. When you understand why you’re hurting yourself and holding yourself back, you’ll finally be able to let go of what doesn’t serve you and get what you need and what you want.

Just for today, I release all destructive fears and doubts. I let go of all fear and doubt and Life becomes simple and easy. I am enough exactly as I am. I forgive myself for not being perfect. I am living the best way I know how with the knowledge, understanding and awareness that I have right now. I love, accept and approve of myself, exactly as I am right now. I am safe, divinely guided and protected. And everything is always working out for my highest good. And so it is.
