SURPRISE

Tomorrow, we have a new moon in Scorpio however you just may be feeling the uncomfortable, irritable energies of that upcoming New Moon. This New Moon is asking us to stay open to everything, good or bad. We all love the good times but, avoid the "bad" times" at all costs. This New Moon will be teaching us that the bad situations are what give us an opportunity to make great change when we step back into our life smarter, stronger and more spiritually evolved, having learned from our "bad" experience. Bad experiences also give us an opportunity to reflect on mistakes we’ve made and cut the bonds with people, places and beliefs, which are not in our highest purpose. Most times this growth and change is painful, which makes it so incredibly meaningful and memorable. Painful situations because they are meaningful and memorable are usually not repeated. Through this personal learning, we then become catalysts for change in our lives. Today, instead of struggling, fighting, being irritable and angry, let go and let yourself be surprised at life, instead being slayed by it. We live in a world of seeming duality and part of our human experience is learning to feel the rainbow of emotions and allowing those emotions to shape us, mold us and help us become who we are supposed to be. Stop trying to figure it all out and just let yourself be surprised.

Just for today, I express gratitude for all the experiences in my life. Each day brings wonderful new surprises. I am grateful for every experience I have ever had for it has shaped into the person who I am today and that is who I am supposed to be right now. I let go of they need to fix and figure everything out in my life and just let Life surprise me. I am safe. I am divinely guided, protected and loved. All is truly well in my world. And so it is.

Your perceived "enemy" is truly your friend

It is no coincidence that we are drawn to and that we form relationships with people who trigger us. In some way, those people are a match to our own issues- they both challenge us and help us heal and grow. And, they can be the ones that we have the least amount of patience or compassion for. Today, it is time to stop "vilifying" our self created nemesis' for they are, in reality, giving you the opportunity to learn about yourself, to change and to then grow. Know that in the future, you may even thank them—even if only inwardly—for the role they played on your ongoing growth and journey through life. Rather than living through the pain of changing/growing as a helpless victim, try to see the lessons you’ve come to learn from your struggles. In whatever way the lesson is being played out, the true lesson will be some version of you learning to love yourself more; it always is. Today, reclaim your power to whomever and whatever you have given it to and be grateful to that person for allowing you to learn the lesson of self love. Today, remember, you only see in others what you have in yourself.

Just for today, I know that the person I find hardest to feel compassion for and to forgive is the one I need to forgive and let go of the most. I forgive everyone in my past for all perceived wrongs. I release them with love. They are now free and I am now free to move forward with love in my heart. I forgive myself for not being perfect. I forgive and set myself free. I am safe and all is truly well in my world. And so it is.

Pay attention because everything is a message

The Universe is always sending us messages, prompts, advice, hints, or whatever we need to steer us in the direction of our heart’s desire. However, most of us are too busy, too distracted, too intelligent or too logical to listen and to act on those messages. Today, even if you believe that everything is random, begin to accept that you can benefit from "listening" to the present moment instead of getting caught up in your own world-the world within your head. When you get out of your head and start to live in the present moment a whole new world will unfold before your eyes. Today, consciously and deliberately be mindful and concentrate fully and intently on the present moment without any form of judgment.Become aware of how much you live and experience the world in your head and when you do catch yourself thinking about the past or the future, bring your mind back to the present moment, breathe deeply, take in what is happening around you, check in with how you are feeling, be thankful, and keep your mind open. You won’t know what your intuition is telling you unless you stop to truly listen. This is when life really happens! Today, pay attention because everything is a message for you.

Just for today, I release the past and turn my total attention to this present moment. I am a powerful person because I choose to live in this present moment. I allow myself to be quiet and still and I am amazed at what I hear, Life is just waiting to share its secrets with me. I am safe and everything is working out for my highest good. And so it is.

It's Scorpio Season

Today our sun enters the sign of Scorpio. For the next month, the energies of Scorpio will ask you to dive into the depths of your psyche and to look for the meaning in just about everything-all for the purpose of helping you to transform your life. This energy is not to be feared or dreaded for it will bring you closer to your true desires and enhance your relationships. This month, everything superficial in your life will not fair well, including your superficial relationships. The energies of Scorpio will not allow you to keep taking the safe middle-ground or avoiding conflict in order to be liked. Today, give yourself some time to listen to your heart and to your intuition. When you start seeing your worth, you will find it harder to hang around with people who don't.

Just for today, I attract only loving, healthy relationships for they are a mirror of who and what I am. Other people honor and respect me because I love and respect myself. I am safe in all my relationships. I give and receive lots of love. Love operates in all my relationships from the most casual to the intimate. I now love and respect myself enough to let go of all people, places and things that no longer serve any purpose in my life. Everything is working out for my highest good. And so it is.

Courage

“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” And, today the Universe is giving you and I the courage to take our ideas and make them a reality. If something scares you or if you are afraid to take the next steps then in all likelihood those next steps are important to you. Today, allow the universal energies to help you to summon up the courage to transform your fears into steps towards your dreams. Today, set your intentions to take tiny steps in the right direction even if it terrifies to you. Have the courage to do something you wouldn’t normally do despite the fact that you’d much prefer to do what you usually do, you'd much prefer to not change. Today, just take one step at the time in the right direction. You know what the next step for you is, right now. Take that step and remember that courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than your fear. Today, be courageous.

Just for today, I return to the basics of life-courage, gratitude, forgiveness, love and humor. I let go of all fear and doubt and Life becomes simple and easy for me. I have the courage to live my dreams. I am courageous. I am whole. I stand in my power. Life supports me in every possible way and out of this situation only good will come. And so it is.

Balance

You have been changing and growing-both internally and externally. However, sustained growth and productivity aren't always about movement and getting things done. They are also about finding balance-balance between rest, play, work, exercise, intention and focus. Today, set your intentions to allow yourself to slow down so that you can catch up with yourself and your progress. Today, allow yourself to look and listen to what's inside of you, rather than listening to what direction other people think you should be moving in. Only you know what is right for you. And, if you should hit some stumbling blocks along the way or become fearful or uncertain of the next steps on your journey, then let joy be your guide. As you are guided by your joy instead of fear, you will always be guided in the right direction and you will go farther in life than you ever imagined. In truth, your happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony.

Just for today, I remember that when I create peace and harmony in my mind, I will find it in my life. The inner creates the outer, always. My life is joyously balanced between work and play. My mind and body are in perfect balance. I am a harmonious being. I am safe. It is only change and everything is working out for my highest good. And so it is.

People pleasing

Inside every people-pleaser is a little child who never felt worthy of love and was afraid of being rejected and abandoned by his/ her loved ones. Being good and nice and striving for approval is a way to try to suppress that fear. And as they grow, people pleasers try to avoid conflict and others’ anger at all costs and will do anything to defuse a confrontation or argument. Furthermore, people-pleasers judge themselves very harshly and often set themselves unrealistic expectations. They feel they need to be perfect in order to be accepted or loved. They feel they cannot make mistakes or risk upsetting or disappointing people.And, finally people-pleasers need to be needed. It’s their automatic response to help others and try to make others happy, and they very often take other people’s actions, behavior and emotions personally, believing they’re responsible for making others feel better.Today, set your intentions to become aware of how you put other people's well being and happiness before your own. Instead of looking for validation from other people and the outside world, today begin to turn your attention inwards-towards loving yourself. Self-love is essential. It isn’t selfish to think about what you want and need. It isn’t selfish to make decisions about your life based on what you want and need rather than to merely please others. Today, let go of your need to please everyone, over your own needs. You owe it to yourself to put your people-pleasing ways behind you. You owe it to yourself to take care of you first, because that is the only real way you can truly help other people. Today, know you are worthy and deserving of your own love.

Just for today, I am willing to release the need to feel unworthy. I am worthy of the very best in life and I now lovingly allow myself to accept it. I know that the greatest gift that I can give myself is unconditional love. I love and accept myself exactly as I am. My needs are just as important as everyone else's. I honor my needs by putting them first in my life. I am safe. It is only change. And all is truly well in my world. And so it is

Gratitude

The benefits of practicing gratitude are nearly endless. People who regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have stronger immune systems. And gratitude doesn't need to be reserved only for momentous occasions. In fact, in any moment of any day, you can feel grateful. Today, no matter what you mind is focused on, no matter how bleak you think things are in your life, look for things to be grateful for. Today, set your intentions to spend as many moments as you can being grateful for all the good that in truth is in your life. The more grateful you are, the more you get to be grateful about. It is just that simply. Today choose to be grateful!

Just for today, I awaken appreciating everything in sight and I give thanks. I express gratitude for all the good in my life. I express gratitude and thanksgiving every day, in every way. Doing so is an important part of my life. Everything is always working out for my highest good and I am grateful for it all. And so it is.

Perspective

Every single situation, thing, and person in our lives may be seen through one of two lenses: the lens of fear or the lens of love. They are profoundly different ways to view the exact same circumstances. Nothing in your outer life has to change for you to experience a radical shift in perception. You simply have to change the lens you are looking through. Today, set your intentions to see things from a different perspective. Trust that even the worst situations hold some seeds of good Today, choose to look for the silver lining in every situation. Choose to see yourself as a hero rather than a victim. It may be tempting to think that you have to wait for something external to change before you can feel good. However, it is incredibly freeing to realize that you have the power to change your life by changing your perception and choosing to look through the lens of love. Today, choose to see every situation differently, choose to see it through the lens of love.

Just for today, I recognize that in any given situation, I always have a choice between love and fear. I choose love. I choose to see the world through eyes of love and acceptance. I love what I see. I am willing to see things in a whole new way. I am willing to grow and change. Everything is working out for my highest good. And so it is.

You are not broken, just human

Life is about slumbering and awakening. It’s about falling off the wagon, the exercise routine, the diet, the spiritual practice. And yet we can be our biggest critic when we do stumble! Anyone who appears to always be perfectly aligned is most likely not being fully authentic. Today, cut yourself a break and stop trying to fix yourself and everyone around you. In truth, we are human, and making mistakes, falling back into old patterns and thinking our way into more chaos is what being human is all about. Today, if you should stumble, fall, or maybe even capsize, allow yourself to have compassion and simply laugh at your humanness. You in truth are not broken, just human! At the end of our days, all your so called mistakes really won't make any difference at all. In the end it only really matters is how kind we are to one another and just as important how kind and compassionate we are with ourselves. Today, set your intentions to be kind!

Just for today, I do not fix my problems. I fix my thinking and my problems fix themselves. I cannot learn other people's lessons for them. They must do their own work and they will do it when they are ready. When I make a mistake, I realize that it is all part of the learning process. I now choose to accept and love myself exactly as I am. I am safe and everything is working out for my highest good.

Surrender

Rest. Retreat. Reflect. Relax! Today, as Mercury moves into her shadow phase, we all will be reminded that we cannot strive, struggle or fight our way to happiness. In fact, it’s often the path of surrendering, accepting, and being at peace with where we are that truly helps us tap into that sense of contentment and ease that we have all been seeking. So, today stop driving yourself, let go and surrender. Remember that surrendering is not quitting. It’s honoring yourself where you are at this moment in time, and allowing what you want to catch up with you. It’s taking time out for yourself and reflecting on what’s important. So that once the time to strive comes back around (which it will!), you will be supported with the energy, the purpose, and the guidance you need to move forward. You can’t control everything. Sometimes you just need to relax and have faith that things will work out. Today, let go a little and just let life happen.

Just for today, I surrender to what is. I let go of what was and I have faith in what will be. I trust the power that created me to protect me and guide me at all times and under all circumstances. Everything is working out for my highest good and all is truly well in my world. And so it is.

Criticism and judgement

Can you imagine how wonderful it would be if you could live your life without ever being criticized by anyone, including yourself? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to feel totally at ease, totally comfortable instead of constantly worrying about how you are not measuring up to your standards or the standards of others? You would get up in the morning, and you would know you were going to have a wonderful day, because everybody would love you and nobody would criticize you or put you down. You would just feel great. Guess what, today is the day when you can give that feeling to yourself. You can make the experience of living with you the most wonderful experience imaginable. You can wake up in the morning so thrilled to find yourself and feel the joy of spending another day with you. Today, is the day you stop criticizing and judging yourself and everyone in your life. Remember, every time you make a judgment or a criticism, you are sending something out that is going to come back to you. Today, send out only positive thoughts. Accept yourself and others just as you/they are. Step away from your ego that either feels superior to others or feels inferior and just stop judging and criticizing yourself and others. You and everyone else in truth are doing the best you can. So, today stop criticizing and judging. Instead begin to approve of yourself and see what happens.

Just for today, I am willing to release all patterns of judgement and criticism. I now give out only that which I wish to receive in return. My love and acceptance are mirrored back to me in every moment. As I release all criticism, judgemental people leave my life. I now accept everyone as they are, including myself. I am enough and everything is always working out for my highest good. And so it is.

Stop apologizing for everything and in reality, for nothing

Many of us say we’re sorry when it isn’t actually necessary. Most of the time, we over apologize because we have the need to please other people- never wanting to mistakenly offend or annoy anyone and therefore, risking the loss of their approval. While we can never know other people’s intentions, we can recognize that our words influence our state of mind–and over apologizing when you've done nothing wrong needlessly creates guilt and undermines your confidence. It can also create an imbalance in your relationships, since it tells other people you think you are always responsible for any potential conflict or miscommunication; and it also sends the message that you're more interested in being agreeable than being honest. Today, stop apologizing for everything and in fact, for nothing at all. Today, stop apologizing for nothing; stop trying to please everyone around you. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t apologize when you generally feel you've done something wrong. It means it will serve you well to recognize that more often than not, there is no reason for anyone, including you, to take blame. Today if you find yourself apologizing repeatedly, ask yourself, “Did I actually do something wrong?” And if not, “Do I really want to communicate that I think I did?” Today, choose to stop apologizing for everything, nothing and for being you.

Just for today, I do not apologize for everything under the sun. I choose my apologies carefully and with sincerity. I release the need to blame anyone, including myself. We are all doing the best that we can with the knowledge, understanding and awareness that we have. I am perfect just the way I am and I do not need to apologize for my existence. I deserve the best and I accept it now. I am safe and everything is working out for my highest good. And so it is.
